Week 3

This class we had an interim for the whole class. The feedback that i got back was; - cool idea that rules are made to be broken > David Carson vibes - maybe the image doesnt need to be the whole page - think outside the box > flow of information and hierarchy good - I like the typography all over the show poster, It's messy but I understand it, thats the idea. - I like the 2 messy posters, its much more interesting to look at - The fence I dont read typography > "typograhy" - Image supports it well - Reminds me of the clip before the clip that played before movies > "you wouldn't steal a television" >nostalgic. - Use the fence poster to develop it more and maybe I dont need all writing, maybe just simplify it and narrow it down.

week 2

 Tuesday Today we focussed on playing around with our ideas and maybe we could create something new from it using techniques that was taught in class. I kind of chose to do a conference on rules and breaking the rules of typography. Looking at how typography uses grids and I was looking at using David Carsons work to inspire my 4 things that I will be designing. Don't confuse legibility  with  communication , just because something is legible doesn't mean it communicates and more importantly doesn't mean it communicates the right thing. –David Carson

week 1

Week 1 We were introduced to the topic for this half of the semester and we are focusing on creating a conference and designing 4 things that would make people turn up to your conference. We had a little exercise after the lecture and got straight into brainstorming ideas and possible themes for a conference. I am still deciding between ideas.
